I drove over two hours specifically to purchase Zéphirine Drouhin climbing roses after being told over the phone they were available for $59. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, I was shown the plants, which were clearly in poor condition—showing signs of disease and significant decline. This was not disclosed beforehand. When I raised concerns, I was told they “just needed pruning,” but the condition of the plants suggested much more serious health issues. I also found the customer service lacking. After being directed to the plants, I was left without further assistance and simply told to grab a cart and proceed when ready. Given the visible condition of the roses, I asked if there was any flexibility on pricing. My request was declined, and I was told the plants were in good shape, which did not align with what I observed. Overall, I would have appreciated more transparency about plant health and a willingness to reasonably price items based on their condition. I hope the nursery improves both communication and quality control for future customers.

Awesome place with great selection and prices. What was really the best part was the customer service from Evan. We saw him unload a beautiful Thai delight bougainvillea on the way in and ended up getting it! He was super helpful and knowledgeable with our questions about privacy trees and took his time to help us out. GREAT experience!!! Will be back for our privacy trees soon!

I recently visited Louie’s Nursery to purchase a couple of palo verde trees. I want to start by saying the staff member who helped me locate the 5-gallon palo verde trees was excellent—very patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. Unfortunately, the experience at checkout completely changed my impression. The cashier was not friendly and seemed impatient, which made the process uncomfortable and disappointing. The nursery does offer fair pricing and a wide selection of plants, which I appreciated. However, customer service—especially at checkout—is just as important. Because of this experience, I will likely choose to shop somewhere else next time.

Juanita helped us pick out a peach, nectarine, and plum tree. She verified that the chilling hours were right for our area, the varieties we chose would be flavorful, and she recommended we choose individual fruit trees instead of a 4-in-1, smart advice in case a branch ever breaks. She was delightful to work with! The installation team arrived on time, listened carefully to where I wanted each tree placed, and were mindful of the sprinklers. They did a great job. We’ll always go to Louie’s Nursery for our trees and plants. This is the second time we’ve bought multiple trees from Louie’s. Worth the 45 minute drive from Yucaipa to Riverside for the size, quality of plants, selection, and service.

I absolutely love Louie’s! All the staff are amazing and super knowledgeable when it comes to giving advice for which plants would work best for your landscape and how to care for and maintain them in the long run. The nursery grounds themselves are well organized, clean, and easy to navigate. They by far offer the best selection in the Inland Empire, whether you’re looking for Cactus, shrubs, Shade trees, tropical fruit trees, stone fruits, pottery, and more. They even offer delivery and planting services if needed. My garden wouldn’t be the same if it weren’t for Louie’s nursery.
